T H O R | The Thunder-god
Odin the sky-god and Jord the earth-mother had a son: Thor, the god of thunder. Thor quickly became the strongest and most respected of the Aesir. He grew huge and powerful, with a bristling red beard that matched his fiery temper.
Thor rides in a chariot pulled by two goats. He carries a hammer called Mjolnir, the thunderbolt. He wears gauntlets that protect his hands from its heat, and a belt that doubles his enormous strength.
At home, Thor is big-hearted and generous. He and his wife Sif love giving feasts in their enormous hall. But away, he is the fiercest warrior of Asgard, and defender of gods and men. Thor spends his days protecting Asgard and Midgard from the Jotun threat that is constantly at their backdoor.
